Agendas

Agendas are published, by law, with 3 clear days between the publication and the meeting (not including Saturdays or Bank Holidays) - so in general by the Wednesday before the planned meeting.

The municipal year runs from May through to the following April.  Therefore the first meeting of the Council's year is in May, which is also the Annual Parish Council Meeting, and in Hurstbourne Tarrant, is also when the Annual Parish Meeting of the Electorate is held.

The APM is not a Council meeting, and Council 'business' is not discussed.  It is a meeting for the members of the Parish electorate, and generally involves a summary of the previous year & what has been achieved.  Guest speakers relevant to the community are invited and in the past we have heard from the Headteacher, Vicar, local police, etc.

Minutes supersede agendas, once agreed by the Council as being correct.

There is generally no meeting in August, which is the summer recess for the Council.
